About Playdium
Playdium is the amusement-arcade chain Cineplex describes as complexes specially designed for teens and families, the younger counterpart to its Rec Room venues, which are aimed at millennials. It is the smaller of the two chains: four sites at 31 December 2025, three of them in Ontario and one in Nova Scotia, against twelve Rec Rooms. Together the two make up what the company calls its location-based entertainment business, sixteen venues in seven provinces.
