About redBus
redBus is an online bus ticketing platform and the brand under which MakeMyTrip runs most of its bus business. It came to MakeMyTrip in January 2017 with the ibibo Group, bought from a Naspers subsidiary. Beyond India it operates in Peru and Colombia and in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam. In 2018 redBus bought Bitla, which sells software to bus operators, and in December 2025 its Indian company was merged into MakeMyTrip's main Indian subsidiary.
