Brasserie Nationale is the Luxembourg brewery at Bascharage, created in 1975 by the merger of two much older houses: Funck-Bricher, founded in the Grund district of Luxembourg City in 1764, and Bofferding, founded at Bascharage in 1842 on the site the brewery still occupies. It bought the family-owned Brasserie Battin of Esch-sur-Alzette in 2004 and moved its brewing to Bascharage the following year, brought the Funck-Bricher name back in 2018 as an organic beer, and added the mineral water Lodyss in 2020. Those four names are everything it makes; the drinks it sells through its Munhowen distribution arm are other people's.
