Caterpillar later gave it the Sudanese dealership, moved that dealership to Daoud Abdellatif's new company SUTRAC in 1966, and both firms were nationalised in 1970 before returning to private hands by the end of the decade; his eldest son Osama then renamed Sayer & Colley after his father's initials. Its consumer arm is DAL Food, formed in December 2013 from four group companies in agriculture, dairy, flour and soft drinks; the group also holds the Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi dealerships for Sudan, an industrial gases producer, a pharmaceutical importer and an international school.
