Acquisition terminated
Amazon announced the acquisition of Roomba on 5 August 2022 for $1.7 billion; the deal is terminated.[1]
Amazon agreed to acquire iRobot for about $1.7 billion, later reduced to about $1.4 billion. British regulators cleared it unconditionally; European regulators signalled objections, and Amazon abandoned the deal in January 2024, paying a $94 million termination fee. iRobot remains independent.

The Competition and Markets Authority cleared Amazon's proposed acquisition of iRobot unconditionally in June 2023, finding it would not substantially lessen competition in robot vacuums.
