About Arby's

Arby's was founded in Ohio in 1964 selling roast beef sandwiches rather than burgers, a deliberate difference from the chains already established. Its name comes from R. B., for the Raffel brothers who started it, not from roast beef. It is now the anchor brand of Inspire Brands, the group formed after Arby's bought Buffalo Wild Wings in 2018.
