About Butter Ring
Butter Ring is a soft Haitai cookie, sold as Butter Ring Gold and in deep chocolate and yellow-cheese flavours. Haitai used to pack it in plastic trays, about 1.26 million of them a year, and by 2024 had switched the whole range to individual wrapping. The company says this had saved about 128 tonnes of plastic by 2025 and will save about 80 tonnes a year.
