About Carex
Carex is the condom and personal lubricant brand Karex sells under its own name, one of the three its 2025 annual report calls proprietary, alongside ONE and Pasante. Karex publishes the Carex site itself, in English, French, Arabic and Persian, which reflects where the brand sells: the Middle East and francophone markets rather than the United States or Britain, where the group uses ONE and Pasante instead.

About the owner: Karex
Karex is a publicly listed company headquartered in Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia, founded in 1988. Brandtree records 5 brands under its control, and it is listed as Bursa Malaysia: KAREX.
Karex is a Malaysian medical device manufacturer that makes more condoms than any other company in the world, from plants in Port Klang and Johor and a larger one at Hat Yai in Thailand. Most of what it produces carries somebody else's name: it manufactures for global brand owners and for government tender programmes, a business hit in the year to 30 June 2025 by the closure of USAID and the withdrawal of PEPFAR funding. Its own branded manufacturing, led by ONE, Carex and Pasante, overtook tender sales for the first time in the company's history the year before, and it commercialised synthetic condoms during 2025.
🇲🇾 Carex and other Malaysian brands
Brandtree records a controlling owner for 71 brands that began in Malaysia. 11 of them (15%) are now controlled by a company headquartered in another country; Carex is not one of them.
