Goldi is the processed meat brand Cargills bought in 1993, together with a processing facility, to strengthen the fresh and processed meat counters in its own supermarkets. What began as a supply arrangement for its own shops has become the leading smallgoods processing business in the country, selling through all channels and exporting; a halal-certified plant was added later to widen the market.
