About Cargills Online
Cargills Online is the e-commerce platform the company launched in 2020, when the pandemic closed off ordinary shopping, to deliver groceries to the door from its supermarket network. It was introduced alongside what Cargills calls Sri Lanka's first supermarket on wheels, a container of essentials mounted on a truck that reached households during lockdowns, and alongside Cargills Village to Home, a programme that has since put the products of more than 1,200 small producers into the retail network.
