About Kotmale
Kotmale was a small value-added dairy company when Cargills acquired it in 2010 to deepen its work with rural dairy farmers, and it is now the largest value-added dairy business in Sri Lanka. It sells fresh and UHT milk, yoghurt and flavoured ready-to-drink milk, and in the year to March 2026 ran a "Nourishing Our Nation" campaign built around locally sourced milk and the livelihoods behind it. The brand is held through Kotmale Holdings PLC, a separately listed subsidiary in which the group structure gives Cargills an effective interest of 99.51 per cent rather than the whole.
