About GQ
GQ began in 1931 as a trade publication for menswear retailers called Apparel Arts, and became a consumer magazine in 1957. Its name is short for Gentlemen's Quarterly, though it has not been quarterly for decades. Condé Nast has published it since 1983, and its international editions are among the few men's magazines to have sustained print circulation into the streaming era.
