About Kikkoman Soy Sauce
Kikkoman Soy Sauce is a traditionally brewed honjozo soy sauce made at eight overseas plants as well as in Japan, including Walworth, Wisconsin, California, the Netherlands, Singapore and Brazil. A 1956 San Francisco Chronicle advertisement introduced it as an all-purpose seasoning, a phrase that went on to appear on every label, and in 1961 the company followed with teriyaki sauce for the American market.
