Grupo Herdez is a Mexican food company that dates from 1914, when Compañía Comercial Herdez was founded in Monterrey as a distributor, and has been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange since 1991. Few of its famous brands are wholly its own. Herdez, Doña María, Búfalo and Del Fuerte sit in Herdez Del Fuerte, a 50/50 company formed with Grupo KUO in 2008; its US business is MegaMex Foods, owned 50 per cent by Herdez Del Fuerte and 50 per cent by Hormel Foods; and it holds half of Barilla México. On 2 January 2026 it completed the sale of 25 per cent of McCormick de México to McCormick & Company for US$750 million, keeping 25 per cent, and in September 2025 it separated its retail arm as the independently listed Grupo Nutrisa.
