About Herdez
Herdez was launched in 1962 by the brothers Enrique and Ignacio Hernández-Pons as the family company's own label, starting with mushrooms, peas, tomato concentrate and shrimp. In Mexico it now covers home-style salsas, tuna, vegetables, chiles, tomato purée and soups; in the United States it sells cooking and taco sauces, salsas and dips through MegaMex. The brand is held through Herdez Del Fuerte, the 50/50 company Grupo Herdez shares with Grupo KUO.
