About Ladival
Ladival is a sunscreen range sold mainly in pharmacies, with lines for children, allergic and sensitive skin, and is marketed in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Serbia. STADA sold the Ladival rights in 2013 to Ladival GmbH & Co KG, which went on selling it in Germany as licensee, and bought them back with immediate effect on 18 July 2018. Ladival GmbH kept exclusive rights to the name in China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore, with STADA holding an option to buy those back.

About the owner: STADA
STADA is a privately held company headquartered in Bad Vilbel, Germany, founded in 1895. Brandtree records 6 brands under its control.
STADA Arzneimittel AG is a German maker of consumer health products, generic medicines and specialty pharmaceuticals, based in Bad Vilbel, Hesse, that sells in more than 100 countries. It traces its roots to a pharmacists' association formed in Dresden in 1895 to make shared preparations, and it stayed a cooperative until it became a corporation in 1970. Bain Capital and Cinven took it over in 2017, and a squeeze-out in November 2020 left all its shares with the holding company Nidda Healthcare. CapVest completed the purchase of their majority stake on 31 March 2026, with both firms keeping minority stakes. STADA's group sales in 2025 were €4,296 million, with 11,749 employees.
