About Lincoln

Lincoln is Ford's luxury marque, named after the president its founder voted for in his first election. Ford bought it in 1922, and its Continental was the presidential state car for decades, including the one Kennedy was shot in. Ford bought it out of receivership in 1922 from Henry Leland, who had earlier founded Cadillac, so one man created both American luxury marques.
