About Model
Model is the supermarket chain of Namibia's Ohlthaver & List group, which has traded under the name since taking a controlling majority of Model Supermarkets in 1965. The group ran its stores under a franchise agreement with Pick n Pay South Africa signed in 1997, and in its own words Model returned home in July 2025, when that agreement ended and the Namibian name went back over the doors of the shops.
