About Navionics
Navionics makes electronic navigational charts of oceans, rivers and lakes, built from its own surveys, satellite imagery and airborne laser scanning and sold as chart cards and through a boating app. Garmin acquired the Viareggio company on 27 October 2017 and combined its coverage with the BlueChart and LakeVü products it already had; the charts now sell as Garmin Navionics Vision+ and Platinum+ and run on most chartplotters, not only Garmin's.
