Omachi is Masan's premium instant noodle brand. Masan Group's 2017 annual report states plainly that "in 2007, Masan entered the domestic convenience foods category with the launch of Omachi, a premium instant noodles brand," made with potato-fibre noodles rather than standard wheat noodles. The same report credits Omachi, alongside Kokomi, with expanding the convenience-foods category the company competes in and says Masan Consumer was, as of 2017, Vietnam's number-two player in the overall instant noodle category.
