About Palmin
Palmin is a German cooking fat made of pure coconut fat, sold as a block that is snapped into portions and as the spoonable Palmin soft, launched in 1972. It goes back to a way of extracting coconut fat for cooking developed by Heinrich Schlinck around 1866; the product came on the market in 1887 as Mannheimer Cocosnußfett and was renamed Palmin in 1894. Unilever distributed it from 1929, and Peter Kölln took the brand over in 2004.
