About Almette
Almette is Hochland's cream cheese brand, sold in Germany, Poland, Romania and Russia. Hochland moved Almette and Patros to a new plant at Schongau in 1997, built for white cheese and cream cheese, and in 2012 began producing Almette and Hochland products in Russia at a converted yoghurt plant in Prokhorovka. By 2019 that site was the group's largest cream-cheese factory. The company describes it as a cream cheese enjoyed in many ways.
