Paluani is a Verona confectionery and bakery company specialising in panettone and colomba for Christmas and Easter. On 1 August 2022 Sperlari, the Katjes International subsidiary, took over its operating business out of Italian insolvency proceedings (the concordato). The prospectus gives the purchase as a way to strengthen the group's seasonal business, in which it already described Sperlari as the Italian market leader.
