About Rogers
Rogers is the sugar brand sold in Western Canada. B. T. Rogers set it up in 1890, building a refinery at the port of Vancouver because shipping refined sugar by rail from Montréal was expensive. The business moved into beet sugar in Alberta in the 1930s and opened its Taber beet factory in 1950. It merged with Lantic Sugar in 2008.
