About Sumol
Sumol is a Portuguese fruit soft drink launched in 1954, whose name combines the words sumo (juice) and sol (sun). Sumol+Compal says it was the first pasteurised fruit juice drink in Portugal and the first advertised on Portuguese television. It sold more than 90 million litres in 2025, growing 10 per cent in volume, and doubled volume in Angola.
