About Tastee
Tastee is the cheese brand of Dairy Industries (Jamaica) Limited, which GraceKennedy describes as the only maker of processed cheese in a can in Jamaica and the Caribbean. GraceKennedy owned half of the company with Fonterra until 27 January 2026, when it paid J$3.15 billion for Fonterra's 50 per cent. The plant also makes cheese spreads, yogurt and powdered milk, and exports account for more than a quarter of its revenue.
