About the owner: Cumulus Media
Cumulus Media is a publicly listed company headquartered in Atlanta, United States. Brandtree records 2 brands under its control, and it is listed as OTC: CMLSQ.
Cumulus Media is an Atlanta radio company that owned 384 stations in 84 American markets at 30 June 2026, along with the Westwood One network and the Cumulus Podcast Network. Its shares were suspended from Nasdaq on 2 May 2025 and moved to the over-the-counter market. On 4 March 2026 the company and most of its subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 protection with a prepackaged plan that hands almost all of the new shares to its lenders and noteholders and cuts its debt by about $592 million. The court confirmed the plan on 15 April 2026; in August 2026 it was still waiting on approval from the Federal Communications Commission to take effect. It is the company's second bankruptcy: its predecessor emerged from one in June 2018.
