Multi Group Concern is an Armenian conglomerate founded by Gagik Tsarukyan, whose constituent meeting took place on 9 November 1995 and which now runs more than thirty enterprises from an office on Tsovakal Isakov Street in Yerevan. It was assembled largely out of Soviet-era industrial plants taken on at or after privatisation and restarted — the Abovyan brewery, the Yerevan Ararat brandy, wine and vodka factory, the Yerevan chemical-pharmaceutical firm, the Ararat cement works — and extended into businesses that had not existed in Armenia before, including a mineral water bottler in Bulgaria, a resort hotel in Tsaghkadzor, an urban wellness complex, a wholesale mall at Arinj and vehicle dealerships. Its consumer brands sit mostly in drinks: beer, brandy and bottled water. Much of the rest of the group is industrial, service or dealership business that carries no brand of its own.
