About Bazo Velarde
Bazo Velarde is a Peruvian brand of manjar blanco, the local milk caramel, and of fudge. Laive S.A. bought its maker, Negociación Ganadera Bazo Velarde S.A., in August 2011 to strengthen its position in dairy products, and its annual report says Bazo Velarde led the Peruvian market for manjar and fudge at the time. The purchase brought Laive savings in making and selling both products, and it lists Bazo Velarde among its four brands.
