Burger King (Malta) is operated by Quinco (Malta, MSE: QNC) under licence, an arrangement in place since 2025; Quinco does not own the name.[1][2] The Burger King name is owned by Restaurant Brands International.
Food Chain opened the first Burger King in Malta in Valletta in 1995 and still runs the chain on the island, now for Quinco Holdings rather than for the brewery that started it. Restaurant Brands International owns the name and audits the operator against its standards. The Maltese restaurants added full table service and self-ordering kiosks during 2025, and the BK Café coffee and dessert format now trades in five locations.
