About Everrise
Everrise is a premium grocery chain operating mainly in East Malaysia, trading as Eastern Grocer Sdn. Bhd. Grab bought 80 per cent of it on 3 March 2025 for $54 million in cash, its second Malaysian supermarket business after Jaya Grocer, and wrote an option letting the remaining shareholder sell its 20 per cent to Grab three to five years after the deal. The chain brought 865 employees into the group and its stores are being listed on Grab's own delivery marketplace.
