About FrigoChorti
FrigoChorti is the beef business Chortitzer opened in 2000 and the only abattoir in the Central Chaco, sitting in the middle of the region's largest cattle stations. The co-operative describes it as a modern plant meeting international production and food safety standards with full traceability from ranch to consumer, and makes a point of the short haul from station to plant keeping transport stress and quality variation down. Cattle in the area are raised on high-quality pasture without hormones or growth promoters, and the plant runs its own water catchment and reserves, a potabilisation plant and an effluent treatment plant.
