About Trébol
Trébol is the dairy line Chortitzer built out of the systematic milk buying and collection it began in 1951, when the distance from the Chaco to the national market pushed production towards butter and cheese, the two things that could survive the journey. From the 1980s Lácteos Trébol installed the first long-life UHT milk plant in Paraguay, and the business today processes more than 150 million litres of raw milk a year. The co-operative wraps the brand in services to its own suppliers: advisory visits, loans, milking technology, a mobile veterinary clinic, field days, collection from the farms, and the marketing and distribution of the finished products.
