About Godfrey Hirst
Godfrey Hirst began in 1865 as one of the first textile mills in the Australian state of Victoria, at Geelong, and turned to carpet in 1966. It bought Feltex Carpets in 2006 and was itself acquired by Mohawk in 2018. It makes wool and synthetic carpet as well as hybrid, timber, laminate and vinyl flooring, and anchors Mohawk's position in Oceania along with its GH Commercial contract business.
