About Holiday Inn

Holiday Inn was founded in 1952 by a builder frustrated by the inconsistency of American roadside motels, and its promise of a predictable room anywhere effectively created the modern hotel chain. It is now owned from Britain. Its founder named it after the Bing Crosby film, and the chain's original roadside sign, a large illuminated arrow, is now a museum piece.
