About LADR
LADR is a German network of medical laboratories organised as medical care centres, which calls itself Germany's first laboratory medicine practice. Siegfried Kramer founded the laboratory in Geesthacht, near Hamburg, in May 1945, and his son and grandson later ran it. It also runs Intermed, a medical consumables supplier, and majority-owned laboratories in Poland. Sonic Healthcare bought it on 1 July 2025, partly in Sonic shares, and it added A$707 million of revenue in its first year.
