About MotoGP

MotoGP is the premier motorcycle racing championship, run commercially by Dorna Sports from Madrid. Liberty Media agreed to acquire a controlling stake in 2024, putting it alongside Formula One under the same owner. Dorna has run the commercial rights since 1992, and the acquisition required European Commission clearance because of Liberty's existing ownership of Formula One.
