About Nespresso

Nespresso sells espresso in sealed aluminium capsules with machines designed to use them, sold through a membership club and its own boutiques rather than through supermarkets. Nestlé patented the system in the 1970s and spent more than a decade failing to sell it before repositioning it as a luxury product in the 1990s.
