About Patak's
Patak's was founded in London in 1957 by a Kenyan-Indian refugee who began selling samosas from a shop in Drummond Street, and it made Indian cooking pastes and pickles a supermarket staple in Britain. ABF acquired it in 2007. The family spelled the name without the final letter to make it easier for British customers to pronounce.
