About Wawel
Wawel is the brand on Wawel S.A.'s filled chocolates, chocolate bars, caramels and jellies. The company dates its history to a Kraków shop the confectioner Adam Piasecki bought in 1898, but the Wawel name belongs to the state confectionery enterprise formed in the city in January 1951. Its president wrote that the brand gained market share in 2025 despite price battles and a large influx of confectionery into Poland from beyond its eastern border.
