Genting Berhad is principally an investment holding and management company in Kuala Lumpur. It was incorporated in 1968 and listed in 1971, but dates the group itself to 1965, when its founder Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong set out to build a resort on a mountaintop in Malaysia. The group now spans leisure and hospitality, oil palm plantations, power generation, oil and gas, property development and life sciences, operates in nine countries with about 55,000 employees, and turned over RM27.7 billion in 2025. It holds its leisure business through three separately listed subsidiaries — Genting Malaysia, Genting Singapore and Genting Plantations — plus the wholly owned Genting Energy and Resorts World Las Vegas.
