First World Hotel opened in 2002 as part of the First World Complex at Resorts World Genting and is, by Genting's own account, the largest hotel in the world by room count, now totalling 7,351 rooms. It is the cheap end of a hilltop resort otherwise built around casino and luxury trade, and the volume that fills the mountain at weekends. It reaches Genting Berhad through its 73.8 per cent holding in Genting Malaysia.
