Resorts World Awana opened in 1985 as the Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort, on the slopes below the main hilltop rather than at the peak, and took its present name when the group standardised the Resorts World brand. It hosted the 103rd ASEAN Business Advisory Council meeting in May 2025. Genting Berhad holds it through Genting Malaysia, which it owned 73.8 per cent of at 18 March 2026.
