About Apoquel
Apoquel was the first Janus kinase inhibitor approved for use in veterinary medicine, cleared in 2013 to control the itching of allergic dermatitis and to control atopic dermatitis in dogs at least twelve months old. Zoetis began launching it in 2014 and added a chewable form, approved in the European Union and Britain in 2021, the United States in 2023 and China in 2024. With Apoquel Chewable it was 12 per cent of company revenue in 2025.
