About Solensia
Solensia is the feline counterpart to Librela: an injectable monoclonal antibody, frunevetmab, given monthly to relieve osteoarthritis pain in cats. Zoetis describes it as the first injectable antibody therapy for that use and says it was approved in Switzerland in 2020 before clearance in the European Union and the United States. Chronic pain in cats had previously been treated largely with drugs developed for other species.
