About Belikin
Belikin is the beer of Belize and the flagship of Belize Brewing Company, which Eric Bowen and his son Barry established in 1969 in partnership with Cerveceria Hondureña of Honduras; Barry Bowen bought out the Honduran shareholding in 1981, the year Belize became independent. International experts gave the brewery little chance of success at the outset. It is now brewed on a Krones-Steinecker plant at Ladyville built in 2000 and sized for regional export, and since 2022 the company has run a brewery visitor centre, Di Bruwry, around it.
