About Bom Bril
The steel wool and synthetic sponge brand from which the company takes its name. Bombril says it launched in 1948 to polish aluminium pots, and that it also cleaned glass, crockery, tiles and ironwork, hence the "1001 utilidades" (1,001 uses) slogan.
