About Caprice des Dieux
Caprice des Dieux is an oval soft cheese with a white rind, sold in a blue box, that was created at a family dairy in Illoud in the Haute-Marne, where the first case was sold on 21 June 1956. It is the product the Savencia group grew from. Savencia says the recipe is 98 per cent milk plus cream, salt and ferments, with milk collected within 70 kilometres of its two cheese plants.
