About Valrhona
Valrhona is a chocolate maker based in Tain-l'Hermitage in the Drôme that has supplied pastry chefs and chocolatiers since 1922. The group acquired it in 1984, and it was later held by Savencia Gourmet, a sister company also owned by Savencia Holding. Savencia Fromage & Dairy bought those chocolate activities, grouped in Sonafi with about 800 million euros of 2025 revenue, with effect from 1 April 2026.
