About Church's
Church's has made Goodyear-welted shoes in Northampton since 1873, a construction that lets a shoe be resoled repeatedly. Prada acquired the company in 1999 and kept production in England. Northampton has been the centre of English shoemaking for centuries, and Church's is one of a small group of factories there still making welted shoes at scale.
